The Pine Richland School District is looking into a racist message posted on social media by one of their students.
In a statement to families in the district, officials say they are taking the appropriate next steps.
The school superintendent further said that the message was highly inappropriate and that they appreciate those who brought it to the district’s attention.
The superintendent also added that the district stands with Black and brown families and is opposed to racism in any form.
