Butler Township is moving forward with plans to construct pickleball courts next to the Township’s Deck Hockey Rink.
At their regular Monday night meeting, Township Commissioners approved a land development plan for the construction of three courts at a cost of just over $50,000 from the Township’s general fund.
Township Road Department employees will perform some of the work while subcontractors will also assist with this project. The area will be fenced in but no lighting is planned for the courts at this time.
Barring unforeseen delays, the plan is to have the courts in place and ready to be used by sometime in mid September.
