State officials are urging residents to help clean up roads this spring as the winter weather breaks.
The state is launching the “Pick Up Pennsylvania” litter cleanup initiative. It’s a collaboration between PennDOT and the Department of Environmental Protection.
Officials say last year’s Pick Up Pennsylvania initiative included over 77,000 volunteers that collected over 3.2 million pounds of litter and trash.
It also led to 14,000 trees and flowers being planted.
