The city of Butler will soon get a new grocery store.
Preliminary work has begun to convert about half of the former Shop ‘n Save in Pullman Square into discount grocery store Save-A-Lot.
The former Shop ‘n Save was one of the original tenants in Pullman Square when the shopping center first opened in the early 90s. The store closed in 2006. Kmart was the center’s other anchor store and it, too, has since closed.
Pullman Square sits off Hansen Avenue in the city of Butler and is the site of the former Pullman-Standard Plant.
