Representatives from Peoples TWP presented a large donation to the VOICe of Butler County through a new program Monday afternoon.
A check for $1,000 was presented at Pennies’ Bake Shop & Espresso Bar in the City of Butler as part of the PEOPLES Eat, Drink and Help program.
The PEOPLES Eat, Drink and Help program is designed to support small businesses, local charities and help build a stronger community. The program is beginning in Butler County but could expand to neighboring counties next year.
For every coffee purchased at Pennies’, PEOPLES donated 50 cents to the Victim Outreach Intervention Center of Butler County, which provides confidential services to individuals and families who are survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Cummings Coffee Shop will be the PEOPLES Eat, Drink, and Help Program business in June, followed by Mazzanti’s Beans and Cream in July, and the Butler Hot Dog Shop in August. Each business will select a charity to receive the $1,000 donation from PEOPLES.
