The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 6-3 last night.
Goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 45 of 48 shots in the net for the Penguins. Boko Imama scored his first goal of the season for the Pens. Rickard Rakell netted his 32nd of the season. Sidney Crosby scored his 25th goal of the year. Evgeni Malkin scored his 14th goal.
Imama was the 29th Penguins player to score a goal this season, which leads the NHL.
Crosby is now four points away from locking up his 20th consecutive season of averaging a point per game, which will set the all-time NHL record.
Last night’s game capped a five-game home stand for the Penguins. They visit Florida Sunday night. Face-off is 6pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 5:30pm.
The Pens visit Tampa Bay Tuesday.
