The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 5-4 in overtime Sunday at PPG Paints Arena. Bryan Rust scored the game-winning goal. Defenseman Justin Schultz had three assists. Goaltender Matt Murray stopped 41 of 45 shots. The Pens swept the four-game season series from the Flyers, scoring five goals in each of the victories.
The Pens moved three points ahead of Columbus and Philadelphia with six regular season games remaining. They trail Washington by three points. The Pens will visit Detroit tomorrow.
