The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 in overtime last night at PPG Paints Arena, despite positive COVID tests affecting the team. Kris Letang returned from the COVID list and scored a wrap-around goal in overtime to earn the victory. Brock McGinn scored just 16 seconds into the game for the Penguins. Jake Guentzel scored the other Penguins regulation goal. Tristan Jarry stopped 36 of 38 shots from the Flyers
The Pens played without captain Sidney Crosby and three defensemen during the game, and have now lost coach Mike Sullivan for at least the next week after a positive test. Assistant coach Todd Reirden assumed the head coaching duties for the game.
