The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Washington Capitals 3-2 last night at PPG Paints Arena, and have taken a 3-1 lead in their Stanley Cup Playoff series. Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury won his 60th post-season game. He stopped 36 of 38 shots on goal. The Penguins had just 19 shots in the game. Patric Hornqvist, Jake Guentzel and Justin Schultz scored the Penguins goals.
Fleury became the sixth NHL goalie to win 60 games in the post-season with one team.
The Pens played without Sidney Crosby and Conor Sheary who have concussions.
Game five will be in Washington Saturday. Face-off is 7:15pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am will be 6:45pm.
Also in the NHL playoffs last night, Anaheim evened their series at 2-2 with Edmonton with a 4-3 win in overtime.
