The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-1 last night in their final regular season game at PPG Paints Arena. Goaltender Matt Murray stopped 38 of 39 shots on goal. Patric Hornqvist scored his 20th goal of the season. Defenseman Brian Dumoulin scored his first. Sidney Crosby had two assists. Crosby continues to lead the NHL with 44 goals.
The win put the Pens three points in front of the Blue Jackets for second place in the Metropolitan Division.
The Pens have three games remaining, all on the road. They visit New Jersey tomorrow night.
Defenseman Trevor Dailey skated with the Pens Tuesday in practice, and will travel with them on the final road trip. He has missed the past 20 games with a knee injury.
