The Pittsburgh Penguins are back in action on Saturday night, as they will host the Montreal Canadiens for a New Year’s Eve showdown at PPG Paints Arena.
Going into Saturday’s game, the Penguins will look to improve on a 24-8-5 overall record, which is good enough for second place in the Metropolitan Division. Saturday’s game will also be the last game for the Pens before they take to the ice again on Sunday, January 8th.
In other Penguins news, goaltender Matt Murray will be out “week-to-week,” with a lower body injury. Tristan Jarry has been called up from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to back-up Marc-Andre Fleury. Captain Sidney Crosby has also scored at least one goal in the last five games, and has 26 on the season.
You can catch all of Saturday’s action, starting with pregame coverage at 6:30pm on WISR 680AM and online at wisr680.com. Faceoff is set for 7:07pm.
