The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Nashville Predators 4-1 last night in Game Two of their Stanley Cup Final. Penguins rookie Jake Guentzel scored twice. Scott Wilson and Evgeni Malkin added goals, as the Pens scored three times in the third to take control of the game, and now lead the series 2-0. Goaltender Matt Murray stopped 37 of 38 shots on goal. Both teams failed to score on power plays, with the Penguins going 0-for-7.
Game Three will be in Nashville Saturday night.
Guentzel now has 12 goals in the playoffs this season, breaking the American-born rookie record previously set by Jeremy Roenick of the Chicago Blackhawks.
