A Butler man was arrested for allegedly pulling a knife on a couple.
James Tiani, 60, of West Cunningham Street is accused of brandishing a “small, fixed-bladed knife” at a 38-year-old man and 29-year-old woman on Sunday night while the pair were standing outside talking to a friend on West Jefferson Street.
The pair says they saw Tiani walking towards them and asked him- twice- if he needed anything. That’s when they allege Tiani reached into his front pocket, pulled out the knife, and said “go ahead and try something.”
The ironic part of the situation is that Tiani goes by the nickname “Jimmy The Knife” and this is not the first time he’s been charged with wielding a knife.
In this case, he’s facing aggravated assault and public drunkenness charges.
No one was injured.
