The Pittsburgh Penguins shut-out the Vancouver Canucks 4-0 last night at PPG Paints Arena. Penguins goaltender Matt Murray stopped all 29 shots on goal. Evgeni Malkin returned from an injury for the first time since late January and had a goal and an assist. The Pens put three pucks in the net in the third period. Sidney Crosby had an assist, and now has 999 points in his career.
The Pens host Winnipeg tomorrow night. They are back in sole possession of second place in the Metro Division at 35-13-7 overall. They have 77 points, third-best in the NHL and have scored the most goals.
