The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Washington Capitals 3-2 last night. The Pens scored all three of their goals on the power play. Patric Hornqvist made his season debut after offseason surgery and scored, along with Kris Letang and Conor Sheary. Goaltender Matt Murray stopped 20 of 22 shots and the Pens held the Capitals 0-for-4 on their power play.
The Pens visit the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight. Face-off is 7:30pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am will be 7pm. The Pens are playing the second set of 19 back-to-back games this season.
