The New York Islanders defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 last night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Goaltender Matt Murray returned after missing nine games due to injury, and stopped 36 of 39 shots by the Islanders. Conor Sheary scored the Penguins only goal. It was his 15th of the season.
The Pens host the Montreal Canadiens tonight at 7pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am will be 6:30pm. They have fallen into a second-place tie with Columbus in the Metropolitan Division, after the Blue Jackets defeated the New York Rangers 5-3 last night for their ninth victory in a row. Washington defeated Dallas 4-3 and lead the division by four points over both teams.
