The Pittsburgh Penguins have named a replacement for former coach Mike Johnston.
Mike Sullivan, who was the head coach of the Penguins’ AHL team in Wilkes-Barre, will serve as the top club’s new coach. The 47-year-old coach was previously the head coach for the Boston Bruins from 2003-2006, and was on the Chicago Blackhawks staff when they won the cup last season.
Sullivan’s first game as coach will be Monday night, when the Pens play host to the Washington Capitals. You can catch the game, starting with pregame coverage at 6:30pm on WISR 680AM and on wisr680.com.
