The Pittsburgh Penguins forced a game seven with the Tampa Bay Lightning following a 5-2 victory in Florida last night in game six of the Eastern Conference finals. Sidney Crosby scored the game-winning goal for the third time in the series. Bryan Rust, Phil Kessel and Kris Letang also added goals, while Nick Bonino hit an empty net goal late in the game. Tampa Bay appeared to net the opening goal, but it was disallowed because the Lightning were off-sides on the play. Kessel opened the scoring with just over a minute left in the first period with a power-play goal. It was his ninth of the post-season.
Matt Murray started in goal last night for the Pens, and stopped 29 shots.
