The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed veteran forwards Danton Heinen and Michael Chaput. Both signed one-year deals Thursday. Heinen played 43 games for the Anaheim Ducks last season and had seven goals and seven assists. He won a Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins in 2019. Chaput signed a two-way deal after playing 13 games for Arizona last season, and spent much of the year on their taxi squad.
The St. Louis Blues have signed western Pennsylvania native Brandon Saad to a five-year contract worth $22.5 million. He had 24 points for Colorado last season.
