The Pittsburgh Penguins lost to the Washington Capitals 3-2 in overtime last night, and may have lost Sidney Crosby to an injury. The Caps cut the Penguins series lead in half to a 2-1 lead heading into game four Wednesday. Crosby was hit in front of the net by Alexander Ovechkin in the opening period last night. The hit knocked Crosby off balance and he then took a cross-check to the face from defenseman Matt Niskanen. Niskanen was given a five-minute major and kicked out of the game. Winger Conor Sheary also left the game in the second period and did not return.
Game three is Wednesday at PPG Paints Arena. Face-off is 7:30pm.
