The Pittsburgh Penguins lost to the Boston Bruins 4-3 last night. The Bruins erased a 2-0 Penguins lead with four consecutive goals, three of them in the second period. Phil Kessel scored on a power play in the first period, but the Pens have gone 1-for-11 on the power play in their last two games.
The Penguins enter the NHL All-Star break 30-13-5 overall. Their 65 points has them in third place in the Metropolitan Division. They are seven points behind first-place Washington. The Pens resume play Tuesday at home against Nashville.
Sidney Crosby will be the Pens lone representative at the NHL All-Star game Sunday at 3:30pm in Los Angeles.
