The Pittsburgh Penguins scored six unanswered goals in a 6-1 victory over the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden last night. Five of the goals were scored in the second period, and the Pens held the Rangers without a shot for 16 minutes of the third period. Sidney Crosby scored twice. He leads the NHL in goals scored with 14, despite missing six games. Goaltender Matt Murray improved to 6-1 this season for the Penguins.
The Pens visit Minnesota for a 4pm face-off Friday. Pre-game on WISR 680am is 3:30pm.
