The Pittsburgh Penguins will begin the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Wednesday when they host the Philadelphia Flyers. Face-off is 7pm at PPG Paints Arena. Hear the game on WISR 680am beginning at 6:30pm. Game two will be Friday at 7pm, with the series shifting to Philadelphia Sunday for a 3pm, face-off.
Evgeni Malkin, Phil Kessel and Sidney Crosby all finished the season in the top-10 in scoring.
The other Eastern Conference teams will play Thursday. Washington will host Columbus. Tampa Bay will host New Jersey. Boston will host Toronto.
The New York Rangers have fired head coach Alain Vigneault after the team failed to make the playoffs.
