The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is streamlining the regulation of large trucks by eliminating the use of weight class stickers.
A vehicle’s weight classification will continue to be printed on the vehicle’s registration card which can be produced for law enforcement if necessary during a traffic stop.
Eliminating the weight class stickers allows PennDOT to modernize and save money while drivers and owners in the trucking industry will receive improved convenience.
Eliminating weight class stickers will have no impact on revenue as application fees will continue to be collected on the established fee schedules.
