Construction crews are ramping up road projects as the weather begins to break.
With more crews on highways and roadway, state officials are reminding drivers to be careful when entering work zones.
It’s National Work Zone Awareness Week which urges drivers to slow down and pay attention during construction sites.
Last year, there were over 170 crashes reported in PennDOT work zones—which caused 13 injuries to PennDOT workers.
If caught going 11 miles per hour over the speed limit in a work zone, drivers automatically lose their license for 15 days.
