PennDOT will soon unveil their plan to improve access to Moraine State Park.
Plans will be on public display Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Western Regional Office on Park Road in Prospect.
The project will improve access to the park’s North Shore by adding news ramps in both directions from Route 422 to West Park Road.
Park Manager Dustin Drew is optimistic.
“We’re excited about it from the park’s perspective,” Drew said Monday. “Anytime you can make accessibility to a public place, especially a park, easier for our visitors, I think that’s definitely a sought after item for us.”
The multi-million dollar project is scheduled to begin next year.
