PennDOT has announced that high school students can once again apply for the PennDOT Innovations Challenge.
The eight annual competition encourages students to solve real-world transportation challenges in competition among peers.
For the challenge this year, students will be asked to develop cost-effective innovative solutions to increase awareness of seatbelt safety.
Students will have a chance to win $6,000 if their plan is deemed the winner by a panel of judges. The deadline to submit is Jan. 31, 2025.
Students grades nine through 12 can apply to the competition online.
