PennDOT crews are going to begin working on cleaning ditches and shoulder grading this week around Butler County as well as in neighboring Armstrong County.
Shoulder grading of state-owned roads is part of the five year cycle of maintenance while ditch cleaning operations occur as needed.
For drivers in Armstrong County, this means Worthington, Cowansville, Widnoon, and Templeton could see work throughout the course of the summer.
PennDOT is also looking for property owners who would be willing to serve as a dump site for the excess soil and debris of the shoulder grading work.
Anyone interested should call the PennDOT offices in Butler County at 724-284-8800 or Armstrong County at 724-543-1811.
