PennDOT continues to make progress with its highway and bridge construction projects.
In its midyear update, PennDOT says through the first six months of 2019 its crews have improved over 800 miles of roadways and replaced or rehabbed 27 bridges across the state.
PennDOT has also issued 372 private sector construction contracts.
As the construction season continues, PennDOT reminds motorists to be cautious when traveling through highway work zones.
