The Penn State Nittany Lions moved up to #4 in this week’s Associated Press college football rankings. Penn State defeated Villanova 38-17 Saturday and will host Indiana this Saturday night.
Alabama remains #1 followed by Georgia and Oregon. Iowa is fifth and will meet the Nittany Lions in two weeks. Clemson fell out of the top 10 for the first time in 97 weeks. The Tigers are now 25th after their second loss of the year.
Pitt set a school record for more than 700 yards of offense Saturday in their 77-7 victory over New Hampshire.
#6-ranked Slippery Rock defeated Seton Hill 41-17 to open PSAC-West play Saturday. Henry Litwin grabbed three touchdown passes in the first half of the victory. The Rock will host Clarion this Saturday night.
