The Penn State Nittany Lions fell in the Taxslayer Bowl against Georgia on Saturday by a final of 24-17.
PSU, who was behind by as much as 21 points during the game, came back in the fourth scoring 14 points.
Penn State was without the services of junior quarterback Christian Hackenberg, who left the game in the 2nd quarter with a sprained shoulder. Following the game, the third year starter declared for the 2016 NFL Draft, and will forgo his senior season.
In other bowl game news, the West Virginia Mountaineers pulled off a close win against the Arizona State Sun Devils by a final of 43-42 in the Cactus Bowl. The Sun Devils are led by former Pitt Head Coach Todd Graham. With the win, WVU finishes the season with an 8-5 record.
