Penn State Extension is offering an online program later this week about opening schoolyard facilities to neighborhood access.
A 75 minute webinar on Schoolyards: A Solution for Increasing Park Access in Urban, Suburban, and Rural Communities will begin at noon Wednesday.
A state official with the Trust for Public Land will speak about how opening all schoolyards when school is not in session would help underserved communities enjoy recreation assets more equitably.
This monthly land-use webinar series offered by Penn State Extension for a minor fee will continue through May. This program will be recorded and available for future viewing with more information available on the Penn State Extension website.
