The Penn State Nittany Lions will face Wisconsin in the Big Ten championship game this Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Kick-off is 8pm. The championship match-up was decided when Penn State defeated Michigan State 45-12 Saturday and Ohio State’s defeated Michigan 30-27 in double-overtime.
Pitt ended its regular season with a wild 76-61 victory over Syracuse. The Panthers await a bowl bid after finishing the season 8-4. It was the first time Pitt has won eight games in consecutive seasons since the 2008-2009 season.
Penn State remains ranked eighth in the latest Associated Press rankings. Pitt is now ranked 24th. West Virginia jumped five spots to 14th after defeating Iowa State 49-19.
California defeated IUP 44-23 in the second round of the Division II playoffs Saturday. The Vulcans will host Shepherd this Saturday in the Super Region One championship. Shepherd defeated LIU-Post 40-21 Saturday.
