The Pittsburgh Penguins now know their first opponent in their quest for a third consecutive Stanley Cup.
The Philadelphia Flyers, who also play in the Metro Division, will be the opening round opponent for the Penguins. This season, the Flyers finished with an overall record of 42-26-14, and finished two points behind the Penguins in third place in the division.
The Penguins will have home ice advantage in the opening round. It was unknown as of Sunday morning when the first round would begin.
