The Penguins Front Office made two moves on Saturday to help the team defensively.
On Saturday, defenseman Olli Matta was signed to a six year extension, which will keep the 21-year-old in the Black and Gold until at least the 2021-2022 season.
Then after their game Saturday afternoon, the team also traded a third round pick to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for defenseman Justin Schultz.
In addition to these moves, the team also welcomed back forward Evgeni Malkin on Saturday, who has been out with an undisclosed injury.
