The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed winger Zach Aston-Reese for two years, avoiding an arbitration hearing by minutes Monday morning. The deal is a one-way contract worth $2 million and keeps Aston-Reese in a Penguins uniform through the 2020-2021 season. He split time between the Pens and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton the past two seasons. He played 43 games with the Penguins last season and had nine goals and 17 points.
Aston-Reese was in Toronto for his arbitration hearing Monday morning when the contract was announced.
