The Pittsburgh Penguins fell to the visiting Buffalo Sabres in a shootout on Saturday, losing by a final of 3-2.
Scoring goals for the Pens in their final preseason game of the year were Patric Hornqvist and Bryan Rust. Goalie Matt Murray made 28 saves. Sidney Crosby and Bryan Rust both suffered unknown injuries after they were hit by a puck on separate occasions. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
The Penguins will begin the regular season on Thursday when they again host the Buffalo Sabres. You can catch all of the action, starting with pregame coverage at 6:30pm on WISR 680AM. Faceoff is set for just after 7pm.
