The Pittsburgh Penguins clinched a playoff spot following their 5-2 win against the visiting Montreal Canadians on Saturday night.
Phil Kessel, Riley Sheahan, Carl Hagelin, Patric Hornqvist, and Conner Sheary all scored for the Pens in Saturday’s win. Hornqvist’s goal was the 200th of his career. Goalie Matt Murray made 24 saves on 26 shots.
With the win on Saturday, the Penguins clinched their 12th consecutive playoff spot.
The Penguins return to the ice on Sunday as they host the Washington Capitals. You can catch all of the action, starting with pregame coverage at 7pm on WISR 680AM. Faceoff is set for 7:30pm.
