The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-3 last night in Manitoba. Sidney Crosby scored his 10th goal of the season, but it was the Penguins third and fourth lines who made the difference last night. Riley Sheahan and Zach Aston-Reese scored their second goals of the year. Derek Grant scored his first. Sheahan and Grant are both on the Penguins fourth line with Garrett Wilson, who assisted on the Grant goal for his first NHL point.
The Pens visit the Colorado Avalanche tonight. Face-off is 9:30pm. WISR pre-game will be 9pm.
Kris Letang played in his 704th career NHL game last night, most by a defenseman in Penguins history. Evgeni Malkin played in his 807th to take over third on the all-time list ahead of Jaromir Jagr, and behind Mario Lemieux and Sidney Crosby.
