A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Monday night in Butler Township.
Police say 36-year-old Eric Graham of Sarver was walking southbound along the southbound lane of North Main Street Extension (between Advance Auto Parts & the Wonder Car Wash) about 7 p.m. when he was hit by an SUV.
The driver- David Hinchberger of Chicora- did stop at the scene, as did a witness. Graham was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital. His current condition is unclear.
Butler Township Police believe it was an accident but there may have been some contributing factors. Officers believe Hinchberger may have drifted over the line and Graham may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time.
No charges have been filed.
Hinchberger was not hurt and showed no signs of impairment, according to police.
