The State System of Higher Education is facing a significant reduction in revenue for this past year.
The governing body for the 14 state system universities reportedly lost $32 million in revenue in 2021.
This comes as most universities in the state face declining enrollment. PASSHE officials say enrollment is down 25 percent compared to 10 years ago.
That was part of the reason why PASSHE voted to merge Clarion, California, and Edinboro into Western Pennsylvania University beginning next fall.
