The state Senate is recognizing a program that aims at conserving wild life in Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania Wild Resource Conservation Program celebrated its 40th anniversary this year. Its main objective is to manage the needs of rare plants and animals in the state.
Some of the program’s biggest initiatives were to re-introduce the northern river otter and osprey.
It’s also served as a way to fund different programs and projects that help preserve wildlife.
