A new bill would move up presidential primaries in Pennsylvania.
Republican State Senator John Gordner says the 2024 primary would move to the third Tuesday in March; it’s currently scheduled for the fourth week of April.
“I specifically picked a date after March 15th, because dates prior to that run into problems with both the Republican and Democratic National Committees,” Gordner said. “The third Tuesday in March would not run afoul of any issues with any of the national parties or committees.”
Arizona, Illinois, and Florida all currently have their primary scheduled for that date.
