The founder of a popular restaurant chain in the region has died.
Lou Pappan passed away at his Beaver County home on Tuesday.
Pappan was born in Greece before moving to the United States. He would open his first restaurant in New Brighton in 1964, before growing the Pappan’s Family Restaurants into 30 different locations.
At one point, there were two Pappan’s in Butler—one in the Clearview Mall and another one inside the Tier Parking Garage.
Pappan was known for his tagline, “you gonna to like it.”
Pappan was 92.
