Two Butler natives have been charged after an incident at the Butler State Police Barracks last weekend.
According to the State Police, a suspicious vehicle with Mississippi license plates was driving around the buildings at the barracks off New Castle Road on Sunday around 11:30 p.m. When contacted, the four occupants said they were at the station to pick up a vehicle.
After a search of the vehicle, the driver, 27-year-old Justin Peters was found to be under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance. Peters refused chemical testing and was arrested for DUI before being committed to the Butler County Prison.
Police also charged 42-year-old passenger Stacy Bergbigler with Drug Possession and Drug Paraphernalia after it was discovered that she had prescription medication that was improperly packaged.
