A pair of storm chasers from central Pennsylvania have just returned from the area still being affected by the remnants of Hurricane Florence.
The storm chasers spent four days in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Brad Switzer with SS Storm Chasing and Forecasting of York, and says severe flooding has left the city virtually cut off from the surrounding area. Switzer says he and his partner Damien Reisch assisted first responders while they were in North Carolina, helping to administer first aid and conducting about half a dozen water rescues.
Western Pennsylvania saw the remnants of Hurricane Florence on Monday, with rain dampening the area for the entire day. By early Tuesday morning, the bulk of the system had made its way to our east. Tuesday, and the rest of the week, should remain mostly dry.
