Members of Pennsylvania’s Emergency Management Agency will be heading to North Carolina to help with the aftermath of Hurricane Debby.
45 members of PA’s Task Force 1 were deployed yesterday to support the federal response to the storm.
The task force is based out of Philadelphia.
“This storm is bringing historic flooding to parts of the Atlantic Coast of the United States,” PEMA Director Randy Padfield said. “We are ready to support our fellow Americans both now and during their recovery in the weeks and months ahead.”
Meanwhile, remnants of Debby are expected to move into Pennsylvania tonight into tomorrow morning. PA Emergency officials say residents should prepare and monitor local forecasts.
