Pennsylvania officials took a spin around Harrisburg and announced a new tool for cyclists Monday to mark National Bike to Work Week.
The new, interactive Bike Route Map on the state Department of Transportation’s website is made up of layers to show the user detailed bike routes, traffic volumes, speed limits and even trails for recreational use.
“This is all designed to improve bicycling, safety, and access in Pennsylvania,” PennDOT Secretary Leslie Richards said.
State health officials recommended commuting by bike as a way to improve both physical and mental well being.
