Hunters across the state are getting ready to purchase licenses for the upcoming hunting and trapping season.
Beginning 8 a.m. Monday, a general license for state residents can be purchased online with shipping costs as the licenses are mailed. Hunters buying licenses in person pay no shipping costs and will receive licenses and harvest tags immediately.
The only notable change from last year is that Pennsylvania resident hunters can purchase a general license at the same time as an antlerless deer license in certain Wildlife Management Units. Nonresident hunters will have the chance to purchase antlerless licenses beginning July 8.
The new license year begins July 1st. The Game Commission would also like feedback from hunters on the license buying experience. Visit the Game Commission’s website to purchase a license or for more information.
