The Pennsylvania Departments of Transportation and Environmental Protection are working with partners across the state to make electric vehicles more of a realistic option for residents.
As part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, PennDOT will receive and distribute over $170 million in federal funds over the next five years dedicated to electric vehicle infrastructure.
PennDOT recently submitted an EV Infrastructure Deployment Plan to the U.S. Department of Transportation which included feedback from a public survey.
Pennsylvania has more than 31,000 registered electric vehicles which is about three times the amount registered three years ago.
